Clinical Research Philadelphia, LLC ("CRP," "we," "us," or "our") operates the websites phillyresearch.com and joinresearchstudies.com (collectively, the "Sites"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit our Sites, submit eligibility screening forms, or otherwise interact with our services.
By using our Sites, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Information You Provide Directly
- Full name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
- Date of birth or age
- Medical conditions, symptoms, medications, and health-related information submitted through our eligibility screening forms
- Any other information you voluntarily provide when contacting us or completing a form
Information Collected Automatically
- Device type, browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs
- Cookies, pixel tags, and similar tracking technologies (see Section 13 below)

- Clinical trial eligibility screening: To determine whether you may qualify for a research study and to match you with appropriate trials
- Communication: To contact you by phone, email, or text message regarding study opportunities, appointment scheduling, visit reminders, and follow-up communications
- Scheduling and coordination: To arrange pre-screening visits, study appointments, and transportation to our facilities
- Analytics: To analyze website traffic and usage patterns to improve our Sites and services
- Advertising: To deliver relevant advertisements on third-party platforms and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns
- Stipend payments: To process compensation payments to eligible study participants
- Compliance: To comply with legal obligations, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies
3. How We Share Your Information

- Clinical trial sponsors and contract research organizations (CROs): When you are matched to a study, your screening information may be shared with the study sponsor or CRO to evaluate eligibility
- Clinical trial management systems: We use CRIO, a clinical trial management platform, to manage patient records, study enrollment, and visit scheduling
- Cloud infrastructure providers: We use Google Cloud Platform (including BigQuery) to store and process data securely
- Communication services: We use Telnyx to send text messages and faxes to patients and healthcare providers
- Analytics and advertising platforms: We share data with Google (Analytics and Ads) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) for analytics and advertising purposes (see Section 6 below)
- Payment processors: We use Tremendous to process patient stipend and compensation payments
- Transportation providers: We use Lyft and Uber Health to arrange rideshare transportation for study participants to and from our facilities
- Legal and regulatory authorities: When required by law, regulation, or legal process
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Health Information Notice
The health-related information you submit through our eligibility screening forms (such as medical conditions, symptoms, and medications) is collected for the purpose of determining whether you may qualify for a clinical research study. This information is considered pre-enrollment data and is not subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) at the time of collection.
If you enroll in a clinical trial conducted by CRP, your health information will be governed by HIPAA and applicable federal and state regulations. You will receive a separate HIPAA Authorization and Informed Consent Form at the time of enrollment that describes how your protected health information (PHI) will be used and disclosed within the context of the study.
We treat all health information with care and apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards regardless of HIPAA applicability.
5. SMS/Text Message Consent and TCPA Disclosure
By providing your phone number and submitting a form on our Sites, you consent to receive text messages from Clinical Research Philadelphia, LLC at the phone number you provided. Messages may include study eligibility notifications, appointment reminders, scheduling confirmations, follow-up communications, and other information related to clinical research opportunities.
- Consent is not required: Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services, nor is it required to participate in a clinical trial.
- Message frequency: Message frequency varies depending on your engagement with our services.
- Message and data rates may apply: Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply.
- Opt-out: You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and will no longer receive text messages from us unless you re-subscribe.

- Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Text messages are sent using Telnyx from the phone number +1 (215) 689-4661. We do not share your phone number or opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Advertising, Tracking, and Analytics Disclosures
We use the following third-party tools for analytics and advertising:
- Google Analytics (GA4): We use Google Analytics (measurement ID: G-LJM3K5KZCX) to collect anonymized data about how visitors use our Sites, including pages viewed, session duration, and traffic sources. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API (CAPI): We use the Meta (Facebook) pixel and Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, to deliver targeted advertisements related to clinical research opportunities, and to track conversions such as form submissions. Meta may use this data in accordance with Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Google Ads Conversion Tracking: We use Google Ads (account ID: AW-17535018288) to measure conversions from our Google advertising campaigns. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our Sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
These third-party services may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites. We do not control the privacy practices of these third parties and encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
7. Cookies
Our Sites use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: Required for basic site functionality, such as form submissions and page navigation
- Analytics cookies: Used by Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data
- Advertising cookies: Used by Meta and Google to deliver and measure the effectiveness of targeted advertisements

- Eligibility screening data: Retained for up to 7 years after your last interaction with us, or longer if required by applicable regulations, to support potential re-matching with future clinical trials
- Clinical trial participant data: Retained in accordance with FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 11), ICH-GCP guidelines, and applicable sponsor requirements, which typically require retention for a minimum of 15 years after study completion
- Website analytics data: Retained according to the default retention settings of the respective analytics platform (typically 14 months for Google Analytics)
- Communication records: Email and text message records are retained for up to 5 years for compliance and quality assurance purposes
When personal information is no longer needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, we will securely delete or de-identify it.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information
- Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal and regulatory exceptions
- Opt-out of marketing: You may opt out of receiving marketing emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email, or by contacting us directly. You may opt out of text messages by replying STOP.
- Opt-out of targeted advertising: You may opt out of targeted advertising through the mechanisms described in Section 6 above
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. - Secure cloud infrastructure hosted on Google Cloud Platform with industry-standard certifications
- Regular security assessments and monitoring
- Staff training on data handling and privacy practices
While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Sites are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
